Yes. Live Weather Forecast is free to download and free to use. It is supported by advertising, and an optional one-time in-app purchase removes those ads permanently. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

The app requires Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later. The most recent version, 2.1.0.2, includes compatibility work for Android 15. If your device runs an older release, Google Play will not offer the app for installation.

Location detection can occasionally be imprecise, particularly indoors or in a built-up area. Try the following:

• Open Android Settings → Location and confirm that location permission is granted and set to “Precise”.
• Enable Wi-Fi scanning in Location settings; it significantly improves indoor accuracy.
• Add your city manually as a saved location so the app has a fixed reference point.

If the reading is still wrong after that, email us the city you are in and the forecast you are seeing, and we will investigate.

Open the Settings tab in the app. Temperature, wind speed and distance units can each be switched independently — for example Fahrenheit for temperature with km/h for wind. Your choice is stored on the device and applied everywhere in the app.

Yes, for the locations you have saved. Notifications are opt-in: Android will ask for permission the first time, and you can turn them off at any point in the app settings or in Android’s notification settings. Alerts depend on the data available for your region.

The purchase is tied to the Google account used at checkout. Check that you are signed in to Google Play with the same account, then reopen the app — the ad-free state is restored automatically. If it does not return, email us a screenshot of the Play Store purchase receipt (Settings → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history) and we will sort it out.

The app uses approximate and precise location to produce a forecast, and collects personal info, app info and performance data, and device or other identifiers (including advertising identifiers and crash logs) for stability and advertising purposes. Data in transit is encrypted. We do not sell your personally identifiable information. Full details, including the third-party advertising and analytics partners involved, are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Uninstalling the app removes locally stored preferences, saved locations and cached weather data from your device immediately.

As stated in our Privacy Policy and in the Play Store data safety section, the app does not use accounts, and some diagnostic and security records cannot be deleted after collection. The Play Store figure covers the base download. The installed size on your device can differ depending on your screen density, CPU architecture and cached weather data. This is normal for Android apps and does not indicate a problem with the installation.

Long-range outlooks are statistical projections derived from forecast models, and reliability decreases with distance. Treat the first week as a strong guide, and days beyond that as a trend indication for planning rather than a precise prediction.
